Cycling campaign group Shoreham-by-Cycle have joined the growing list of organisations and individuals supporting calls for a bridge at the dangerous A281 crossing.
Clive Andrews of the group says that all users of the Downs Link – whether walkers and cyclists, young and old – need to be safe, and that the current unprotected road crossing is a “a clear and serious problem”.
Residents and visitors to Shoreham use the Downs Link both as a leisure facility and also to make utility cycling journeys for work, school or shopping.
“Alongside the improvements that are needed within towns, let’s not forget rural routes too.”
