John Milne, County Councillor for Horsham Riverside has joined his County colleague Christian Mitchell alongside Horsham District Councillors Richard Landeryou, Ruth Fletcher and Mike Croker in calling for a bridge at the Downs Link crossing of the A281 near Rudgwick where two years ago Pathushan Sutharsan was killed.
Highlighting the need to treat walking and cycling infrastructure “with the same seriousness that is routinely given to roads”, John believes that a bridge “isn’t a luxury, it’s a vital part of our network.”
Acknowledging the strategic importance of the Downs Link to the region John says: “The solution is to create true, traffic-separated routes that are safe enough for everyone to use.”
You can support the campaign by writing to your local County councillor, displaying one of our posters and signing up for email updates.
Join us on Saturday 23rd July for a memorial to mark two years since Pathushan’s death.
